Seven units of the Local Police of Cartagena managed to intercept and identify early this afternoon, on Carmen Conde Street, 26 fans of Badajoz football club, who fled after having starred moments before an altercation with members of the Football Club Cartagena and have thrown objects, when they were in an establishment catering Doctor Luis Calandre Street, in the vicinity of the Cartagonova Stadium.
Those involved, all of them of legal age and some with criminal records, have been involved in three flares, drugs and a knife that have been handed over to the National Police in case they were constitutive of serious violations of the Law of Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport or due to disturbance of citizen security.
The flares were found on public roads, where they had been thrown without being able to attribute to any of those involved their belonging;
although it has been possible to attribute one of them a small piece of hashish, two bags of marijuana and the knife.
One of them also had a bleeding gouge in his face so he has been treated at the hospital.
The rest of those involved have been guarded by the National Police to access the Cartagonova Stadium, where the meeting between both teams takes place this afternoon starting at 6:00 p.m.
