The Deslinde festival takes the poetry to the Barrio del Foro Romano with Concha García's recital, who will put voice to his verses accompanied by the music of Sebastián Mondéjar.
The event will be next Saturday, November 10, at 8:00 pm and will have free admission until full capacity is reached.
Those attending the event can enjoy the lyric of Concha García in the first person, a luxury for those who love intimate and endearing poetry.
García is a staunch lover of poetry and language in herself and has written many treatises, essays and literary criticisms and has participated in anthologies that include works by poets and poets of her generation.
Concha García (Córdoba, 1956) currently resides in Barcelona.
She is one of the founders of the Poetry Classroom in Barcelona and also chairs the Women and Letters Association whose objective is to disseminate those works written by women.
She is considered an important poet of her generation and has received prestigious awards, among which is the Barcarola Poetry Prize, obtained in 1987. Among her memorable works are rabbits of raisins, For me will not burn the quicios or be burned the teas and trees that will already bloom.
She will be accompanied by the Murcian percussionist musician Sebastián Mondéjar, who also cultivates poetry from a very young age.
He has founded and formed part of numerous groups and has collaborated with many musicians.
He has served as columnist, opinion writer, jazz critic and literary critic in Diario 16 de Murcia, Diario La Opinion, The Chronicle of El Pajarito, Tomajazz and in magazines and blogs.
He has published four books of poems, the last of them 'La piel profundo' (Raspabook editorial, 2017) presented at the Deslinde festival of 2017.
In short, a luxury cast to enjoy poetry and music in one of the most emblematic archaeological sites of our city.
