The Work Commission on the Prevention of Bullying has been launched in Cartagena with the celebration today, Wednesday, in the dependencies of the Department of Education, a meeting chaired by the mayor Mercedes Garcia, in which participants have attended a talk about the initiatives that are carried out by the Ministry of Education for the prevention, intervention and management of problems related to coexistence in schools, especially school bullying and focused on the countryside of Cartagena, in charge of the Coordinator of the Observatory for School Coexistence in the Region, María del Mar Sánchez Rodríguez.
The proposal for the creation of this work table was approved last April by the full Municipal School Board, and composed, the president of the Municipal School Council, the secretary (Coordinator of the Department of Education), a representative of the Educational Inspection, a representative of the teaching staff, a representative of the mothers and fathers, a director and a student.
Likewise, a representative of each of the municipal political groups has also attended as guests, in this case the councilors Carolina Palazón, Ricardo Segado, Manuel Padín and Pilar Marcos, and a technician of the Department of Education on matters of school harassment. .
