The increase of new enrollment in the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has resulted in an increase also in the demand for places in university residences of the UPCT.
The main one, Alberto Colao, has completed its 165 individual rooms and that of Calle Caballero has reopened after being mostly closed in recent years.
The occupancy of the rooms offered by the Polytechnic of Cartagena has experienced a rise of 20%, leading to have had to reject some student applications, since the only free rooms of the 33 available RU Calle Caballero residence are intended to temporary stays of foreign students, professors and researchers.
The UPCT helps 14 of the best university access files for two years, two for each of its seven centers, and high-level and high-performance athletes with residence and full-board scholarships in the Caballero street building.
The residences of the UPCT have a dining room, internet, medical and emergency nursing service, laundry and leisure rooms.
RU Alberto Colao also has a gym.
