The startup Nido Robotics has put at the service of students of the IES Polytechnic of Cartagena its underwater robot Sibiu Nano with the aim of enriching their training and learning process from a practical point of view.
During this first quarter of the course, students have begun to work on the assembly of this drone the most compact, lightweight and efficient of all that has been manufactured to date Murcia-technology and the objective is to perform the first immersion test before conclude the year.
Nido Robotics, which has the support of the Valencian business accelerator Lanzadera led by Juan Roig, provides the technology to the students of this teaching center, a pioneer in the implementation of Dual FP and with one of the broadest educational offers of this region.
Students can measure the depth of accumulated sludge in an irrigation pond or attach the Sibiu Nano claw-claw that will remove plastics from the sea, to put two practical examples.
All the experiences of this educational project, which revolves around the drone of Nido Robotics, will be documented and shared in a digital platform that will be created for this purpose and which can be accessed through the IES website and the own startup. Nest Robotics.
The Department of Electricity and Electronics of the training center, headed by Germán Villalba Madrid, has already participated in other educational innovation projects such as El submarino Peral sails again and Efficiency Vehicles.
On this occasion he will work with Juan Carlos López Palazón, tutor of Training in Work Centers, and Elena Hernández Gómez, professor of Electronic Systems.
A startup for professional training
Since the beginning of 2017, Nido Robotics has collaborated, through a dual training internship agreement with the Department of Electricity and Electronics of the IES Politécnico de Cartagena in the professional qualification of its students.
Nido Robotics has already in its staff two former students of the dual, plus another student in training.

Lanzadera is the accelerator of companies belonging to the Marina de Empresas and promoted by the Valencian businessman Juan Roig with private capital.
Lanzadera was born with the intention of helping entrepreneurs to carry out their projects and thereby strengthen the entrepreneurship of our country.

Together they have managed to generate more than 500 direct jobs, as well as external investment of more than 21 million euros.
