The Informative Commission of the Treasury and Interior, gathered this morning, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has favorably dictated the new compositions of the informative and study commissions of the Cartagena City Council, which adapt to the new configuration of the Municipal government, after the incorporations of Mercedes García and Manuel Mora.

The members of each of them have been designated by each of the municipal groups, while the presidencies have been determined by the Mayor's Office.

The matter has counted on the favorable votes of PSOE, MC Cartagena and Ciudadanos;

the vote against PP and the abstention of CTSSP.

After its approval by the plenary session.

PLACAS DE LUIS RUIPÉREZ AND VICTOR PAREDES

The Informative Commission has unanimously ruled two new files of honors and municipal distinctions, for the nomination of the positions of Luis Ruipérez Sánchez, in Cartagena, and Víctor Paredes Saura, in Pozo Estrecho.

The plaza of Luis Ruipérez Sánchez will come to pay homage to the former councilor, dean of lawyers, processionist and person involved in many municipal affairs, which, according to the record, he loved and defended constantly.

Deceased in 2011, the square that bears his name is located next to the main entrance of the Sports Palace, with what he wanted to mean his great love of the sports world and the support he provided to the teams of the city, since the first moment as councilor of Sports in the first Democratic Corporation.

For its part, the square of Víctor Paredes Saura will show the recognition of this neighbor of Pozo Estrecho, known as the President, since it was during 1936 and 1939 president of the Casa del Pueblo, and his intervention was crucial so that there would be no reprisals or spillage of blood in the locality during those convulsive years of the Civil War.

An intervention that has wanted to be recognized by its neighbors almost 50 years after his death in 1969.

REPORT FOR THE MODIFICATION OF ANCIENT HELMET

Finally, and among other matters, the Commission has unfavorably reported the proposal to amend the general budget of 2018, which was intended to enable a game of 1.6 million euros for the municipal society Casco Antiguo could meet the payment of the expropriations recently determined by the courts of justice in Monte Sacro and El Molinete.

As explained by the mayor is a payment to which the City Council is obliged to face without any other remedy and should have obtained the approval of the commission to be able to comply with the sentences.

the vote against PP and CTSSP;

and the abstention of MC Cartagena.
