The poetic festival Deslinde 2018 will feature some thirty acts and more than 140 participants, among which the presence of the Danish poet Henrik Nordbrandt stands out.
As a novelty, a poetry workshop will be held in dialogue with other arts.
Deslinde will hold its third edition between October 27 and November 19.
The presentation has been made, this Thursday, October 25, the councilor of the Culture area, David Martínez;
along with two poets, members of the festival's technical team, Antonio Marín and José Antonio Martínez;
as well as the Coordinator of Solidarity for the Development Region of Murcia, Mari Ángeles Carnacea and representing the Obra Social La Caixa, collaborating entity, Carlos Merelo.
Deslinde includes the Antonio Oliver Belmás International Poetry Prize, organized by the Popular University of Cartagena, and this year reaches its thirty-second edition, coinciding also with the fiftieth anniversary of the disappearance of the poet and essayist, who will be present in various ways the program of this year.
This new edition of Deslinde comes with "suggestive proposals for lovers of poetry", as indicated by the mayor, David Martínez, who added that "Deslinde is a small miracle that we are very satisfied, despite its still short journey , and on it we have the conviction that it has a splendid future ahead as it supports the extraordinary reception that the programs of the previous editions have had ".
Deslinde will hold between 30 October and 19 November almost thirty events throughout Cartagena, with more than 140 participants, including an international guest who has announced Martinez, "is the great Danish poet Henrik Nordbrandt, one of the most outstanding living voices of Nordic poetry, which comes directly from his country to participate in Deslinde ".
Another one of the guests of Deslinde will be the Saharawi author, Bahía Mahmud Awah.
The poet, José Antonio Martínez, insisted on the intercultural aspect that is reflected in the presence of the Saharawi poet, who writes in Spanish, and the importance of the program having "with the participation of one of the most important Nordic poets, the Danish Henrik Nordbrandt, a poet who has lived in different Mediterranean countries, and who has the greatest international recognition of his work ".
Luis Antonio de Villena will be another guest.
The poet, Antonio Marín, has highlighted "the long trajectory of an essential poet such as Luis Antonio de Villena, who brings together many of the most important poetic awards in the country, which will make a reading of his work and a meeting with young poets and readers "
He has also underlined the presence in the program of Patxi Andión, "who will give a concert coinciding with the fifty years of profession, and of which a book will be presented with a long conversation with the artist".
Following the same line of the last edition, the festival dedicates this year a special recognition to an outstanding poets of the region, Dionisia García, with the participation of many other friendly poets.
There will also be acts of homage and memory to another great poet, León Felipe.
Also, winners of previous editions of the Oliver Belmás Poetry Prize will participate again under the brand name of 'Marca Oliver', this year being the guest Andrés García Cerdán, poet and singer-songwriter.
The novelty of this year will be a poetry workshop, in dialogue with other arts, led by Esther Ramón, without missing children's activities and the participation of primary and secondary schools in a festival that observes a commitment to gender in its composition .
The festival aims to reach all kinds of audiences.
Poets to jail is a good example of this.
The Coordinator of Solidarity for the Development Region of Murcia, Maria Angeles Carnacea, has underlined the social commitment of the festival "through acts in the two penitentiary centers of the region, 'Poets to jail', and defended the inclusive power of the culture in general and poetry in particular. "
Carnacea wanted to show the importance of the festival having a strong gender commitment "that guarantees the balance between men and women in its programming, something that should always happen but is not frequent".
On the other hand, Deslinde has counted on the collaboration of the Board Carmen Conde-Antonio Oliver to publish 'Loas de frutas', a facsimile edition of one of the notebooks published by Antonio Oliver under the heteronym of Andrés Caballero.
The copies will be distributed free through different fruit shops in the city, along with posters that reproduce some of these loas and the drawings included.
Finally, Martínez wanted to highlight the work of the professionals that make the poetic festival possible, as well as encourage citizens to participate in some of the festival's events, which are free.
The first act will be the presentation party, with the 18th Anniversary of the magazine 'El colloquio de los perrros', which will also feature the acoustic concert of the Ayoho group.

The event concluded with the intervention of Carlos Merelo, director of the Business Area of ​​Cartagena de CaixaBank, which highlighted the collaboration of the Obra Social de la Caixa in the festival, insisting that "they are precisely the acts that have social and educational that justify the support of the Obra Social in the first place ".
Melero also thanked Deslinde for counting on them, remembering that Obra Social invests more than 10 million euros only in the Murcia region.
