The Adoptive Daughter of Cartagena, Rosa Juaneda, will have a street dedicated to her memory from Friday, October 26th.
It will be in the Campus of the Muralla del Mar of the Polytechnic University, next to the southern facade of the Antigones Barracks.
The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and relatives of the exconcejala and exdiputada socialist, will be responsible for discovering the label in an act that will not miss the words of tribute and remembrance to a woman born in Guardamar del Segura (Alicante) in 1952, but linked to Cartagena since childhood, where he actively participated in the creation of the Carthaginian and Roman Festivals and also stood out for his struggle for the city's historical heritage, of which he was councilor between 1995 and 2002, in which she resigned to occupy her position as deputy in Congress, a position she held for two terms.
She died prematurely in 2008, Rosa Juaneda, was named Adoptive Daughter of Cartagena posthumously in 2009.
The act, which will take place at 7:00 pm, has confirmed attendance among other authorities the mayor and the Councilor for Culture of his hometown, José Luis Sáez Pastor and Pilar Gay Bódalo
