The municipal groups of the PP, MC and CTSSP have today rejected the management of the municipal government presided over by Ana Belén Castejón, during the extraordinary plenary summoned at the request of the PP.
The Socialist spokeswoman Mercedes García has denounced the electoralism of this initiative and of the opposition groups, which a few months ago supported the Government's budgets;
while the councilors of Citizens have been absent during the vote when considering their spokesman, Manuel Padín, that the PP with ten councilors had in his hand the presentation of other initiatives more real and effective, than the mere reprobation.
According to the agreement of the Board of Spokespersons, the plenary session began with the intervention of the spokesperson of the PP, Francisco Espejo, who for half an hour has accused the Government of not listening to the opposition and of adopting erroneous and harmful decisions for the citizenship, pointing out that it is governed "as if it had a majority when what it has is a significant minority".
It has followed in the turn the socialist spokesman Mercedes Garci'a, who in addition to describing like Mirror's speech, has explained the inexistence of the reprobation in the regulation of the plenary session like a means of control to the government, dismissing as electoralist its presentation to eight months of the elections and inconsistent with the support given to them three months ago for the approval of the budgets now managed by the Government, and he recalled the difficult situation in which they found the municipality as a result of the mismanagement of the governments of the PP .
After the vote, the rest of the municipal groups intervened to explain their position.
Pilar Marcos of CTSSP has said that it was very sad to reproach a government that they have supported twice in the hope that they would regenerate political life, but that they were wrong and criticized that the government has given coverage with its decisions to what has described as "excesses" of the concessionaire companies.
For his part, José López de MC Cartagena, has called "pantomime" the full and has denounced the lack of legitimacy of the PP to raise it, because although they are right in their criticism, what the PSOE has done has been copying them and has missed real practical consequences of reprobation.
In his second speech Mercedes García of the PSOE has reported the situation they found when they arrived at the government, the result of the PP, with a contaminated Mar Menor, 200 million debt, 200 workers in an irregular situation, the General Plan, annulled and the Rosell, closed, among other issues;
assuring that with this reprobation the PP was making a fool of himself.
The plenary session concluded with the intervention of Francisco Espejo, who pointed out that the majority of the citizens of Cartagena have rejected the government's management and that although nothing will happen, they have received a good reprimand.
Addressing the mayor, he has claimed that the best thing to do is to leave, to which Castejón has replied: "Leave me and have courage."
