The Deputy Speaker of the Socialist Parliamentary Group and Secretary of Municipal Policy of the PSRM-PSOE, Alfonso Martínez Baños, assured that the disastrous management of the PP in Cartagena had to be resolved by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, demonstrating her great capacity for dialogue and working for the benefit of Cartagena and Cartagena.
Martinez Baños recalled that Castejón has managed to reduce the debt left by the PP in the City of Cartagena and has lowered the water rate for the first time in more than ten years.
"He has also demonstrated his ability to dialogue with civil society and to seek the necessary political consensus."
"The management of the mayor is being impeccable to fix the destruction of the Popular Party, as the remunicipalization of two nursery schools that privatized the PP and the opening of the central court of a sports palace that was closed and full of deficiencies," has pointed.
The Socialist deputy has insisted that Ana Belén Castejón is putting in place measures to improve the lives of the residents of Cartagena.
"No one better than her is defending the interests of the city, it is the best guarantee that Cartagena and Cartagena have."
"It has increased the public housing stock, rehabilitating ten abandoned and closed houses during the PP Government and has placed them at the service of disadvantaged families, has opened summer schools with school canteens for families without resources, and has turned Cartagena into a example for the rest of the Region in terms of equality, "he concluded.
