Impropias of a city of the 21st century.
The sidewalks of one of the main streets of San Felix, Calle Castillo de Monzón, show a deplorable state for five years and nobody does anything.
The Popular Party promised the settlement of the pavement destroyed during its last four years of municipal government.
While the mayorships of Movimiento Ciudadano, with José López, and Partido Socialista, with Ana Belén Castejón, do not even attend to the demands of the neighbors' reform.
The inhabitants of this populous area of the city no longer know where to turn for their attention.
They show their indignation because any day because of a stumble somebody will end up with serious physical consequences.
"It's a third-world pavement that we have, it's an issue that remained pending in the Pilar Barreiro era, but MC and PSOE have done little, if anything, in the neighborhood since they came to power, neither on the sidewalks nor in any of the of the other problems that we suffer ", shows his indignation the president of the Association of Neighbors of San Felix, José Juan Díaz.
The plaster, which has subsidence, crevices and holes, is also only seventy centimeters wide.
Another difficulty for residents to enjoy a safe ride in the main access of the neighborhood from the roundabout that starts Avenida Víctor Beltrí.
The obvious difficulty for the widening of the road, by the double direction of the road, makes the intervention in the pedestrian part even more urgent.
The population nucleus of San Félix, like good part of the delegations of the municipality, undergoes the most absolute neglect.
The neighborhood leader also denounces that up to eleven streets have almost no public lighting.
The lighting plan that the City Council organized five years ago was halfway and since then a good part of the neighborhood lives almost in darkness.
The candidate for mayor and general secretary of the Cantonal Party of Cartagena, Celestino García Alfaro, believes that all areas of the municipality should have the same services and similar infrastructure.
"For more promises that come out of the mouths of the last mayors we never managed to finish with the first and second Cartagena," he laments.
Signed
D. Celestino García Alfaro
Secretary General and candidate for mayor of the Cantonal Party of Cartagena
