The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, visited yesterday the new changing rooms that have been built on the soccer field of the Mediterranean Urbanization.
These works constitute the first phase of a work that the Club Deportivo Mediterráneo had been claiming since the field was inaugurated in 2012.
"The neighbors and players of the Mediterranean Urbanization finally have decent costumes on their football field, just as we committed to them.
It is an infrastructure very demanded by them, since for six years they had to change in prefabricated booths because the previous government left the work unfinished, "recalled the first mayor.
In this first phase both the local and visitor costumes have been built, with a surface area of more than 61 meters each.
In addition, the mayor committed to undertake, as soon as possible, the second phase of this project that includes a changing room for the referees and provide seats for the stands of the sports complex.
"We continue fighting so that our neighborhoods and councils have the sports facilities they deserve and that for too many years they have been denied," said Castejón.
