This Sunday the 6th Meeting of Neighbors was held in La Aljorra, in order to publicize the broad associative landscape existing in the town, the many and varied activities that offer and facilitate the access of citizens to the sociocultural life of associations .
The Meeting of Neighbors is an initiative of the Coordinator of Entities and Associations of La Aljorra, promoted by the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, and Columbares Association, framed in the Community Intervention Project that takes place in the town, and which aims to unite the collectives, giving visibility to the existing cultural wealth.
An initiative that adds to the many recreational, social and educational activities that this platform of neighborhood participation has been developing during the year.
During the Meeting, among other activities, children's workshops, gastronomic tastings, musical entertainment, sports activities, exhibitions and exhibitions were developed.
The associations of the Coordinator prepared samples of the workshops that they carry out throughout the year offering gastronomic tastings of the Moroccan culture, and autochthonous ones.
Likewise, the meeting counted with information booths Columbares Association, Youth Department, Municipal Libraries, Sodicar, Spanish Association Against Cancer, and the different Programs and Services offered by the Department of Social Services.
The day of the meeting began with a parade that toured the streets of La Aljorra, making an appeal to the neighbors to participate in the meeting.
Then the gymnastics exhibition was held through the Senior Club of La Aljorra with the collaboration of the Department of Sports and Social Services.
The morning continued with a sample of the activities developed by the groups of the Coordinator during the year;
children's crafts made by AMPA Aljorra, crafts in esparto, exhibition of classic motorcycles, exhibition of photos of the Club of elders, promotional activities related to the book and the reading of Municipal Libraries, children's sports activities, henna workshop and Arab tea of ​​the Doha Islamic Center, as well as a sample of the crafts made by the Cultural Association of Women.
This year the CEIP Aljorra and CEIP Miguel de Cervantes participated for the first time, showing activities carried out by the students.
The event was closed with the performance of Comparsa Imagine, which put the finishing touch to a very participatory day, in which the residents of La Aljorra enjoyed a space of coexistence and citizen participation.

The associations that took part in the meeting, in addition to the Department of Social Services, were: Asociación Columbares, Neighborhood Association, CEIP La Aljorra, CEPA CEIP La Aljorra, CEIP Miguel de Cervantes, Senior Club of La Aljorra, Cultural Association of the Woman, Association of Neighbors, Group of Promotion of the Woman of the Columbares Association, Comparsa Imagine, Doha Islamic Center, Association Cuadrilla de La Aljorra, Cornetas and Drums Band "La Purísima", Classic Club La Aljorra, Sports Cultural Center , Spanish Association Against Cancer, Sodicar, Youth Council and Municipal Libraries.
