The Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE) has launched the second semester of Barrios programs in different schools of the municipality and in the Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood, as the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, undertook.
Specifically, in the Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood, twelve students from the area will be trained for two and a half months.
During this time they will receive theoretical and practical training in masonry, painting, plumbing, electricity and gardening, which will allow them to improve the neighborhood while they increase their training.
In this way, the mayor meets the commitment he made with the neighbors of Virgen de la Caridad during the meeting held in September.
In addition, all students will receive orientation for employment, and once the program is finalized, their CVs will be incorporated into the database of the Employment Agency.
With this workshop it is intended that students who complete it, are prepared to perform full tasks of urban maintenance and buildings (garden cleaning, painting, masonry).
Performances in schools
On the other hand, the Barrios program will also be developed in various schools of the municipality, with a duration of two and a half months.
In this case, the students will be 8 members of FAMDIF, who are unemployed people with some physical and / or organic disability that does not prevent them from completing their training and being able to enter the working world.
The students will receive practical and theoretical training, given by a specialized monitor, and will have a scholarship per day of attendance at the training of 10 euros.
During the two and a half months that the program lasts, they will perform masonry and painting tasks, garden cleaning and small repairs in schools in some of the neighborhoods of our municipality such as: Miranda, Lo Campano, Barriada Virgen de la Caridad and Pozo Estrecho .
