The Department of Youth, which is part of the Prevention Working Group of the PMAD, has scheduled for this Saturday, October 6, the 2nd edition of URBAN CT FEST, activity that aims to give visibility to the different expressions of urban culture, and that in its The first edition had a great success with the participation of young followers of the different manifestations of urban culture such as Rap, Hip Hop, Graffiti and Break Dance.
From the Technical Office of the Municipal Plan on Addictions and Drug Addiction (PMAD), all the actions carried out in the field of the prevention of addictions and drug addiction are promoted, managed and coordinated, promoting healthier lifestyles among the population of the municipality and among them those directed to adolescents and young people of Cartagena.
Being one of the objectives to be present in the spaces and meetings of the young people of Cartagena, a series of activities of Alternative Free Time, Health Promotion and Prevention of Drug Addictions have been designed, in collaboration with the Youth Council and entities Social organizations that belong to the Prevention Working Group such as: Rascasa Association, La Huertecica Collective, Spanish Red Cross (Cartagena Delegation) and the NGO Acción Familiar.
Among some of these activities we can find, a workshop of badges with healthy slogans, a photocall, video projection on the risks produced by the consumption of alcohol and other drugs, etc., workshop where techniques will be provided to act in case of serious poisonings .
We will also have an information point where objective and truthful information about the consumption of alcohol and other drugs will be provided, while self-control strategies and risk reduction in alcohol consumption will be shown.
Another activity will consist of conducting a survey of young people on Leisure and Consumption of substances, whose objective is to gather information to improve the offer of Leisure and Alternative Free Time aimed at the young and adolescent population of Cartagena.
Participation in said survey will give you the option to enter the draw for a prize.
