On Tuesday, October 2, the course "Introduction to the Creation and Development of Virtual Environments" began, aimed at young people between 16 and 30 years old interested in acquiring knowledge for new occupations that require qualified personnel in this professional field.
The Department of Youth is committed to this type of training, which provides young people with a qualification that differentiates them from other similar profiles by increasing their employment opportunities.
A large number of new professional lines linked to new technologies are currently emerging, and virtual environments are related to all of them.
Every day new applications for these audiovisual languages ​​arise in areas such as tourism, advertising and marketing, medicine, architecture, engineering, education ... It is undeniable that to create all the graphic content, programming, applications and executables and, ultimately , the different environments that will be demanded, it will be necessary to hire personnel with training in this area.
In addition, the development of contents based on virtual environments offers a magnificent possibility for self-employment in different fields such as the videogame industry, which moves millions around the world among others, and start a business line based on one of the current or future applications of these languages.
Access to the course does not require a minimum degree and compliance with the objectives will depend on the profile of the attendees.
For those young people who do not have a higher education this course gives them access to sufficient knowledge to access a job, as well as to resume their academic training with higher education.
For those who do have a higher degree, this course will provide them with extra training that complements their curriculum, since profiles with training in applied virtual environments will have more possibilities of finding work.
The course lasts 250 hours and the beneficiaries of the National Juvenile Guarantee System have access preferences.
Once the training is acquired, the participants will develop a Tourist App for Android devices with access to information and viewing of 3D objects from selected pieces of the Municipal Archaeological Museum and from which Museum visitors can make use.
This practical and real application provides added value to the course.
