Until now third deputy mayor and councilor of the Government Area of ​​Sustainable Development and Public Function, Francisco Aznar, has made effective his resignation as a member of the Municipal Corporation of Cartagena in an extraordinary plenary session, held at the edge of eight o'clock at night , after the conclusion of a marathon ordinary session that had begun at nine in the morning.
In his words of farewell Aznar thanked the trust placed in him by the mayor and the collaboration and good times he has shared for three years and four months with his colleagues in the Government, as well as with the rest of the opposition.
He has also had words of thanks for the officials of the different services that he has directed and in which he has been able to prove his great professionalism.
Finally he has appreciated the treatment that the media have always given him and have been able to represent the people of Cartagena, "those who voted for me and those who did not, because it has been an honor".
The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, also had words of thanks and appreciation for her work in the municipal government.
Francisco Aznar leaves his act of councilor of the City of Cartagena to assume new responsibilities in the Government Delegation in the Region of Murcia, as director of the High Educational Inspection.
His position will be filled in the next few days by Manuel Mora, next on the socialist list of the 2015 municipal elections.
