The full City Council of Cartagena, chaired by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved this morning unanimously an institutional declaration for the adaptation of public toilets to ostomized people.
About 900 people make up this group according to the data of the Spanish Nursing Society, which increases annually at the rate of 60 new operations carried out each year, affecting people of any age.
These patients have to change their bags regularly to avoid saturation, possible leaks and bad odors, which causes many people to desist from leaving their homes and have a normal social life due to the complications of their illness on a day-to-day basis. .
The public toilets do not meet the necessary conditions to carry out these tasks with greater hygienic safety, and where they also need priority access.
In this sense, the institutional declaration urges the Municipal Government to implement a plan for the progressive adaptation of the bathrooms in the municipal facilities and the Regional Government to do the same in the doctors' offices, health centers and the hospitals of Rosell and St. lucia.
It is also requested that from the Department of Commerce, in collaboration with Hostecar and other associations, work on the creation of a network of solidarity baths where they can adhere shops and establishments who so wish, with a help around 2,500 euros per establishment for this purpose, and a mobile application with a map showing its location.
SUPPORT FOR TAXISTS
Another initiative approved by the corporation in today's plenary has been the motion formulated by the socialist group, with improvements from MC Cartagena, in support of the taxi drivers of the municipality of Cartagena so that they can operate at the Corvera airport.
Specifically, the CARM Governing Council is urged to adopt the necessary legal measures so that the taxi drivers of Cartagena, as well as those of the Comarca and the rest of the Region, can freely provide their services at the International Airport of the Region of Murcia, located in Corvera, from the day of its opening.
To this end, the requirement is reiterated to the Regional Government to establish a joint service area for taxi drivers in the municipality of Cartagena, and other municipalities of Campo de Cartagena, to stop at the airport.
The voting has had the support of all the municipal groups, except the PP that has abstained.
His spokesman, Francisco Espejo, explained the position of his group by pointing out that taxi drivers can now operate and what they need is to have a stop at the airport, and for this it is necessary to modify the national regulations.
For this purpose, he has presented a motion in a voice, which has not been declared urgent, since he did not obtain the necessary absolute majority of the councilors, as pointed out by the accidental secretary of the plenary, since he has had the support of the PP and CTSSP, the vote against the PSOE and the abstention of MC Cartagena and Ciudadanos.
RETURN OF THE ARA PACIS
After a break of five minutes to clarify this circumstance, the session has resumed to unanimously approve a motion by MC Cartagena, presented by Ricardo Segado, urging the central government and, specifically, the Ministry of Culture, to mediate between the regional executives of the Region of Murcia and the Generalitat of Catalonia, in order to reach an agreement so that the 'Ara Pacis' can return to Cartagena permanently, being guarded and exposed to the public in the appropriate museum space.
COMPLIANCE WITH THE ROSELL LAW
A motion by the Socialist Group, formulated by Mercedes García, was also unanimously approved, urging the Governing Council of the Region of Murcia to fully operate the Santa María dfel Rosell Hospital in Cartagena as a general hospital.
In this sense, it is urged that the lack of resources and personnel of Hospital del Rosell be resolved, in compliance with Law 3/2016, of March 21, and installing hospital beds, ICU, Emergency and other necessary means to its full operation as a General Hospital in Area II of Health.
The motion is the result of the meeting held last September 10 the mayor with the Minister of Health of the Region of Murcia, and in which Ana Belén Castejón exposed the peremptory need to make the hospital run at full capacity two years after that a law be approved in the Regional Assembly that remains unfulfilled.
ABANDONED SOLAR
The plenary session has also approved two motions related to abandoned lots.

REPROVAL OF THE REGIONAL GOVERNMENT
With the votes against the PP, the plenary session has approved a motion by MC Cartagena, presented by José López, failing the Regional Government for the contents that are disclosed in textbooks, websites and profiles of official social networks that hide the enormous wealth of this Autonomous Community and, in particular, the identity and history of Cartagena and its region, to offer a unique and centralist vision that does not fit reality.
The motion rejects those responsible for Education, Culture and Tourism of the regional government and, in particular, its president, Fernando López Miras, and the directors Adela Martínez Cachá Martínez, Isabel Sánchez Mora, Miriam Guardiola Salmerón, Javier Celdrán Lorente, Juan Hernández Albarracín and Noelia María Arroyo Martínez.
Finally, the regional government is urged to immediately cease the "indoctrination" of schoolchildren, visitors and inhabitants of the region and remove the obstacles that prevent society from knowing the true history of this area of ​​Spanish Levante, that of its 45 municipalities and, of course, that of Cartagena and its Shire that is repeatedly hidden.
FREEDOM OF EDUCATION
Another motion approved, has been made by PP spokesman, Francisco Espejo, to urge the Government of the Nation to guarantee the right of families to choose the type of education and educational center where to school their children, promoting an educational offer plural in complementary networks, public and private-concerted.
The motion has had the support of PP and Citizens, the abstention of MC Cartagena and the vote against PSOE and CTSSP, which have defended the public nature of education.
HOUSING PLAN 2018
It has also been approved, with the abstention of CTSSP, another motion submitted by the spokesman of the PP, Francisco Espejo, for the City Council to inform residents and groups about the call for 2018 of housing subsidies and aid to young people for rent or purchase of housing;

Another initiative has also been approved with the abstention of the PSOE, which through Carmen Martín has indicated the inexistence of economic and social study that endorses it, so that people with disabilities equal to or greater than 33 percent can enjoy a discount of 15 percent on the current unibody fare on urban bus lines.
PLAYA DEL LASTRE AND MERCADO SANTA FLORENTINA
With the votes against the PP, a motion formulated by MC Cartagena has been approved through its spokesman, José López, urging the Port Authority of Cartagena to assume the settlement of the Ballast highway within the municipality of Cartagena in Portmán and the creation of a bicycle and pedestrian path annexed to it.
A motion was also unanimously approved by Isabel García of MC Catagena to undertake a comprehensive reform project of the Santa Florentina Market;
as well as another of her party partner, María José Soler, unanimously approved, to solve the problems and shortcomings in the Santa Ana deputation.
FOOD FAIR
Another motion of MC Cartagena, presented by Ricardo Segado, has also been approved for the local government to launch the Gastronomic Fair of Campo de Cartagena together with the municipalities of Mazarrón, Fuente Álamo, Torre Pacheco, La Unión, Los Alcázares, San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar.

Likewise, a motion by MC Cartagena, presented by Isabel García, has been approved, so that a meeting of the company that has carried out the analysis, description and assessment of jobs of the City of Cartagena with all the municipal groups, as well as the representatives of the Personnel Board, in order to advance in the implementation of a consensus TPN in the City of Cartagena, as well as to reach consensus and advance in the rest of issues affecting the municipal staff.
The motion has had the abstention of the PSOE through its councilor Mercedes Garcia has explained that this meeting can not be a decision, as its analysis and approval corresponds to the general negotiating table of the City.
MEASURES AGAINST DEPOPULATION
The plenary session approved a motion by Citizens, presented by its spokesperson, Manuel Padín, on measures against depopulation, including a study on the socioeconomic reality of the municipality to identify the evolution of those areas with the greatest deficit in services and infrastructures. , as well as lack of public aid and those that are suffering from the phenomenon of depopulation.
Parallel to this study, it has been proposed to analyze the possibilities of expanding the current Municipal Employment Observatory, contemplating the option of providing it in the next budgets to expand its operational radius and optimize its operation, in order to turn it into an observatory of the Socioeconomic reality of Cartagena
The motion has been supported by all the municipalist groups, with the exception of CTSSP that has abstained.
PLURIDOMICILIAR BOXES
Another motion of Citizens also raised by Padín has been the one that urges the Local Government to mediate before Correos before the suppression of the service in the so-called special environments of the municipality where possible, requesting an extension to Correos, conducting studies to determine the location of the mailboxes shared in these environments;
implementing a system for the registration of affected neighbors and studying the possibilities of acquiring these multi-domiciled mailboxes and then collecting them accordingly.

CYBER BULLYING
For its part, the councilor of Citizen, Ana Rama, has filed a motion to combat cyberbullying, which has been approved unanimously, urging the local government to establish training workshops on cybersecurity in municipal facilities throughout the year, taught by experts;
develop family training programs in ICTs based on initiatives such as "Live a Secure Internet" of OCU and Google, editing guides and opening consulting services;
carry out information dissemination campaigns through the City Council's communication channels and celebrate International Safe Internet Day on February 7th.
ILLEGAL SPILLS AND SPILLS
The last of the motions of Citizens has been made by its spokesman, Manuel Padín, on illegal dumps and spills, which calls for a list of black spots in the municipality;

MUNICIPAL DAYS ON YOUTH AND LEISURE
Regarding the initiatives of CTSSP, the plenary session unanimously approved a motion made by its spokesperson, Pilar Marcos, so that from the Youth Council organize a Municipal Conference on Youth and Leisure, in which young people and groups youths participate actively, and in which an analysis of the current reality is carried out, subsequently, and through working groups, to study the necessary proposals so that young people in the municipality of Cartagena can have the opportunity to enjoy a healthy leisure, inclusive and that makes them feel protagonists.
