More than 60 companies attend the UPCT and ENAE employability fair
The connection between companies and students of the Polytechnic of Cartagena has increased today during the Forum of Employment of the UPCT and ENAE Business School, a fair of employability celebrated simultaneously in the campuses of Alfonso XIII and Muralla del Mar and to which they have attended more of 60 companies.
The UPCT has presented during the Employment Forum its new portal of job offers for students, the Emfoca website.
"A tool to facilitate contact with companies, in which they will be able to publish their job offers and internships, as well as technological challenges to the university community", as explained by the rector, Alejandro Díaz.
The portal, emfoca.upct.es, which replaces Ãcaro and is already operational, also links the innovations of the Network of Chairs of the Polytechnic and "will allow companies to know the calls for competitive R + D + i projects. it can concur in the hand of the UPCT ", adds the vice-rector of Innovation and Business, Alejandro Pérez.
The forums held last year in the UPCT and the UMU by ENAE generated 175 work contracts from the more than four hundred curriculums that were collected, according to the president of the University and Business Foundation, Antonio Ballester.
On the other hand, the general director of Universities, Juan Monzó, highlighted "the growth of 54% in scholarships and practices of companies for students of the UPCT, a model to follow in the relationship between University and employers".
The Employment Forum hosts various activities, technical presentations of companies, conferences and workshops that will address issues related to job search skills or steps to undertake.
Among them, how to prepare an interview or how a selection process is carried out.
"The Forum is a meeting place for university students and recent graduates and companies that are looking for qualified personnel," says the vice chancellor.
Through the Employment Forum UPCT have submitted job offers Adecco companies, Auxiliary Conservera, Capgemini, Cementos La Cruz, Naval Technology Center, CTI Control, FREMM, Critt Group, Emit Engineering, Inforges, IPAK, JGambin, Manpower, Nationale Nederlanden, Agricultural News, Puertas Padilla, Soluzione, Techno Pro Hispania and Terrapilar.
The fair includes the service 'Coaching at your disposal', intended for advice to job seekers interested in a meeting with a 'coach' of Aprocorm for 15 minutes.
In addition, from this Tuesday until Thursday, in four different UPCT centers, in the Faculty of Business Sciences and in the Industrial, Telecommunication and Naval schools, more than 30 company presentations are being made, in which explain to the students the job profiles they are looking for in their companies.
The opening of the Forum was also attended by the Director of the Employment and Training Service, Severa González, the President of COEC, Pedro Pablo Hernández, and the President of FREMM, Alfonso Hernández.
