The new cycles of Vocational Training in Emergency and Civil Protection and Underwater and Hyperbaric Operations that, for the first time, will be taught from October 15 on the Campus of the UCAM in the Cartagena neighborhood of Los Dolores, will be able to obtain together with the qualification of the training cycle up to 18 titles and complementary accreditations to the academic degree, which will specialize students and certify their knowledge to facilitate their incorporation into a future job.
Specifically, the students of both cycles will also obtain maritime training that will be recognized as Basic Training of the Merchant Marine, non-rapid rescue boats, Advanced firefighting, Health Training for Controls or Advanced, Restricted Operator of the Global Relief System and Maritime Security (GMDSS), Fight against accidental marine pollution (Basic level) and Harbor Master.
In addition, they will receive training from the Global Wind Organization (GWO) in all their specialties such as the Basic Safety Training (BST) of Survival at sea, First Aid, Work at height, Fire fighting and Manual handling of loads.
Additionally, Emergency students will be certified IRATA level I as a String Access Technician for vertical work specialists, the title of Small Depth Professional Diver, as Inspector of Fire Protection Systems and Dangerous Goods Operator of Ports of the State, as well as driver's license C;
while those of Underwater Operations will receive certified training in level I of non-destructive tests NDT Visual, Particles, Ultrasounds, Thicknesses and Liquids, in addition to level I IRATA and offshore training in IMCA HSE Surface Supplied Top up, CSWIP 3.1U Underwater Inspection Preparatory Curse and BOSIET EBS (5700) + CA EBS Initial Deployment Training (5902).
