The City Council of Cartagena will apply immediately and in a general manner, the jurisprudential criterion established in the judgment issued by the Supreme Court on February 13, 2018, which recognizes the right of workers of a company to have workers' paid leave begin at be posted on actual working days.
The agreement has been adopted within the framework of the negotiation table maintained by the municipal government with union representatives for the drafting of a new agreement on working conditions and collective agreement for public employees of the City of Cartagena.
Thus, pending the approval of the new agreement on working conditions, the Human Resources service will begin to apply the new jurisprudential criteria and the employees of the City Council will be able to account for their permits due to the death of relatives, serious illness, birth or adoption, concurrence to examinations and marriage, among others, from the first working day following the causal event, with which the non-working ones will be excluded from the calculation.
