The Local Police of Cartagena has organized for this Wednesday, September 26, a special device for control and restriction of traffic in the entire area of ​​the Historic District due to the arrival in Cartagena of two cruises.
During this morning a total of 6,974 tourists of the Britannia cruises, with 4,324 passengers on board, and the Koningsdam, with 2,650 passengers, have been attracted to the port of Cartagena.
Given the influx of vehicles, the Local Police of Cartagena, in ordinary service, has paid special attention so that vehicles do not park in pedestrian areas, especially in the loading and unloading area.
The agents have recommended to the drivers that they anticipate their displacements and extreme caution, always respecting the rules of the road.
The Local Police, which has operated this morning on the area of ​​the Paseo Alfonso XII, the port of Cartagena, the Calle Real and the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, has advised the use of public transport to go to the city center, as well as the use of alternative ways.
