The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, received during the morning of this Friday, September 21, those in charge of carrying out the traditional pregonillo of the Carthaginian and Roman festivities.
The stage located in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento has been the place chosen to receive the participants of this first act that every year introduces the celebrations in Cartagena.
Together the first mayor was the councilman of Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba, who has also received the protagonists of the act.
Those responsible for announcing the festivities throughout the municipality have left, at around 12:00, from different neighborhoods on a route that has taken them to the center of the city, spreading their message.
The XXIX edition of the Carthaginian and Roman festivities will begin tonight with the lighting of the Sacred Fire and the opening speech that will be borne by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón.
The acts and activities will happen throughout the municipality until next September 30.
