With the month of October, the second UrbanCt Fest festival of urban culture lands in Cartagena, the main event of the UrbanCt Program of the Youth Council, whose objective is to publicize all the modalities of this culture in the municipality and generate a space for coexistence, exchange of knowledge and skills through exhibitions and competitions, under the basic principles of equality, respect and alternative leisure.
The complete program of the second edition of the urban culture festival UrbanCtFest is now available.
Among the infinity of proposed activities are: Trialbici, Bmx, Inline Skates, Calisthenics, Street Ball, Urban Dance, Rock'n RollerDerby, Sakate Championship, Graffiti Street Art Contests, Urban Market, Slackline Workshops, Open Table Scratch, Championship of Break, Championship of Dijing, Battle MC's, Tatto, Circuit Parkour, Micro Free, Championship of Beat Box, among other activities.
The youngest will have a space addressed to them with the realization of a children's graffiti workshop taught by local artists, as well as a circuit of parkour with specialized monitors in this discipline.
To end the day, the Travieso Party will be held in the University Parking, starting at 10 p.m.
Saturday, October 6, will also be a special day for everyone, but especially for skate lovers who will pay tribute to one of their athletes.
In the Urban Sports Park, the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, will discover a plaque in honor of Ignacio Echevarria, skateboarder who died in the London bombings of 2017. This act will be held by unanimous decision of the Municipal Plenary.
All those interested in participating in this great event can register through the website juventud.cartagena.es or (less in those with previous registration deadline) the same day of its celebration by filling in the corresponding form.
