The councilor of the municipal government, Mercedes García, today began his work as mayor presenting the details of the III Waterpolo City of Cartagena Tournament, which takes place this Saturday, September 22 at the dock of the Port, as part of the start of the Fiestas of Carthaginians and Romans.
The event, organized by the Cartago Waterpolo Club and the Santa Ana Sports Club with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena through the Department of Sports, will bring together 350 swimmers, who will compete with Cola de Ballena, from 8.30 until 20.00, as explained in the presentation by the Club president, Juan Nieto, and the technical director responsible for the test, Ángel Nieto.
Among the participants, there will be athletes from all over the country, especially from Madrid, Ibiza, Alicante, or Murcia, a total of 11 clubs that will compete in 29 categories, including Infant, Cadet, Absolute Feminine and Absolute Male.
In addition to offering a sporting event, the participants who visit us will have the opportunity to get to know the city through the tourist offer of Puerto de Culturas, taking advantage of the celebration of the city's festivities.
