The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, this morning proposed to the Board of Directors of the Cartagena Casco Antiguo Society that the company not only operate in the old city center but throughout the municipality, with special incidence in the most disadvantaged neighborhoods.
The mayor explained that her proposal includes four lines of action:
1.- Restructure or modify the activity of the municipal company Casco Antiguo de Cartagena SA, modifying or adapting its object and corporate name to include actions of a social nature and recovery of the neighborhoods.
2.- Begin the process of alienation of plots owned by the company in the Molinete, mainly those already excavated in the Morería Baja street area and in the urbanized plots in the vicinity of the Health Center to achieve the capitalization of society .
3.-To submit to the City Council's consideration that the necessary steps be taken to contribute to the Company the lands owned by the City Council in the El Hondón Sector, both those recently acquired and those resulting from the PODECASA liquidation process.
4.- Submit to the City Council's consideration that the necessary procedures to transfer to society the necessary documentation to take over the management of the municipal municipal housing park be initiated.
The mayor has made this proposal prior to the General Shareholders' Meeting to be held tomorrow and in which the accounts for Fiscal Year 2017 will be put to the vote, corresponding to the time when Casco Antiguo was chaired by José López.
