The City of Cartagena and Club Carthago Sala 2013 have signed an agreement that allows the latter entity, the development of its sports activity throughout the season in the Sports Palace.
Likewise, the agreement stipulates an annual subsidy of 100,000 euros, by the City Council to the club, for the sports promotion and the city.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the president of the Club Carthago Sala 2013, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, signed this Thursday, September 20, this collaboration agreement between both entities.
The mayor said that this agreement demonstrates the City Council's commitment to the futsal team of the city, the Jimbee Cartagena.
"A stage that we face with optimism and enthusiasm," said Castejón.
The councilor explained that the City Council, through the Department of Sports, raises in this agreement the collaboration with the Club Carthago Sala 2013, through the annual subsidy of 100,000 euros for sports and city promotion.
This entity is also allowed to develop its sports activity throughout the season, with the possibility of extension for one year, at the Sports Palace.
The agreement is compatible with the use by other relevant sports entities of the city, maintaining the Department of Sports, within the scope of its competence, full control of the facility and therefore the responsibility of the management of the same in accordance with the purposes that are proper and recognized.
The City Council also facilitates the Club's headquarters in the Sports Hall of the Sports Palace.
The offices will be located on the first floor next to the offices of the Department of Sports.
In addition, locker rooms, stores and tracks will also be provided to allow independent teams to work in the Division of Honor and the Third Division of Futsal.
For its part, the club will collaborate with the Department of Sports reserving free disposal locations in all games, training and other activities or shows held.
The council will distribute these locations between neighborhood associations, social interest groups and schools.
It has also been agreed that the Jimbee Cartagena annually disputed a friendly match at the Palacio de Deportes and six matches, of the same characteristics, in municipal councils, whose proceeds will go towards the promotion of base football in Cartagena.
In addition, it will organize competitions and activities of sports promotion in educational centers.
WORKS IN THE SPORTS PALACE
The club is also contributing to the works to improve the image of the Palacio de Deportes.
For its part the City continues with the placement of the parquet floor on the main pavilion.
