The Local Government Board, meeting this afternoon with extraordinary character, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the paving and storm drainage project that will be undertaken in the Séneca de Toreciega street, in the section included in the Tito Didio Avenue to Trajan Street.
As explained by the Councilor for Public Services, Juan Pedro Torralba, this is a demand action by the neighbors to prevent flooding.
The project has a budget of 116,000 euros, which will be financed with the remainder of the 2012 water contract.
Torralba has also indicated that a commission of technicians from Hidrogea and the City will supervise the contracting and execution of this work, in which bidding will not be able to participate any company of the group of the concessionaire of the service.
SOCIAL LOCAL OF SAN JOSÉ OBRERO
The Governing Board has also accepted the cession of land and buildings in which the social premises of San José Obrero-Los Patojos is located, by the neighborhood association of the neighborhood.
In this way they will become municipal property and the City Council will be able to undertake the repair of its roof, which was one of the projects approved in the previous process of participatory budgeting.
SUBSIDIES
The Governing Board has also approved the granting of various direct subsidies, such as the one awarded in the amount of 20,000 euros to the Trovera Association José María Marín de La Palma, for the organization of the Trovo National Trove Competition;
and the one granted to the Association of Neighbors of Molino Derribao for the National Festival of the Spanish Song, in the amount of 9,000 euros.
Likewise, a series of agreements has been approved with different bands of music, for which grants are granted in attention to the number of students that count in their corresponding schools, seniority and activities.
Thus, 25,000 euros have been granted to the Mucical Sauces Association;
23,500 euros, to the Santa Cecilia Musical Group of Pozo Estrecho;
21,000 euros, to the Cartagonova Music Group;
20,000 euros, to the Musical Group of La Soledad, Molinos Marfagones;
and 10,500, to the band Cartagena 1990.
Finally the Governing Board has approved the amount of the subsidy that will be allocated to the festivities of Carthagneses and Romans, whose amount will be announced by the mayor, tomorrow morning, in the traditional breakfast of the festeros with the means of communication.
