The municipality of Cartagena will receive 40,000 euros to fight against gender violence thanks to the State Pact against Gender Violence, as explained this morning by Councilman David Martínez after the meeting with councilors of the municipalities of the Region, which has been held in the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities.
"This investment will allow us to improve attention to women victims of gender violence, enhance awareness and training of the population and improve action protocols, among other measures," said David Martinez.
The mayor has expressed his satisfaction that the staff of the Center for Attention to Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI) will soon be increased, with the hiring of two new professionals, which will improve the attention given to women .
In addition, in 2019 the item destined for the Shelter in Cartagena will increase from 40,000 to 60,000 euros.
