Logistics, marketplaces or international financing, are just some of the topics that will be addressed at the IX International Business and Foreign Trade Congress, an annual event organized by the ACOCEX association and the INFEBEX Federation, held at the El Batel Municipal Auditorium on days 3, 4 and 5 October.

The details of the Congress, which has the support of the City of Cartagena, have been announced Wednesday at the Palace Hall by the Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón;

the president of ACOCEX, Miguel Ángel Martín;

and the director of Banco Santander in the Region of Murcia, Sonia Colomar.

El Batel will bring together experts and professionals from Europe, Latin America and Africa from five key areas of foreign trade: financing, legal environment, logistics, customs and marketing and international trade.

There are three days in which 50 speakers will participate, 12 round tables will be organized and 125 successful experiences will be announced, all presented by the journalist and expert in foreign trade, Beatriz Triper.

And as a highlight, the mayor stressed, 'among the experts who will participate in the event highlights Rosa Maria Calaf, TVE correspondent in areas such as the US and Asia Pacific, which will offer a keynote address on the role and responsibility of the media in the construction of peace and cultural understanding. '

Castejón, who was satisfied with the celebration of the Congress in Cartagena, emphasized the benefits of the city, "a privileged place for the development of this type of event, with a framework such as the El Batel Auditorium and Conference Center, and all a rich and varied cultural, patrimonial and gastronomic offer for the participants that will visit us.

The objective of ACOCEX in this edition, as Miguel Ángel Martín explained, is' to demonstrate to companies that the success of internationalization depends not only on the export department, but on all departments of companies and all foreign trade professionals '

In addition, the event aims to facilitate networking and encourage 'the attendees generate a genuine network of contacts and international collaboration that allows their companies to be much more competitive.'

In this sense, the head of ACOCEX has highlighted the support of the City of Cartagena in the organization and praised the relevance of Cartagena as the venue for an event of this nature: 'Cartagena is a place full of history and one of the places with the greatest tradition of foreign trade since Cartagena, from the time of the Carthaginians, is a strategic logistics point.

The Congress, which will feature speakers from Spain, Brazil, the United States, Colombia and Italy, will address key current issues in the export and import sector such as globalization and new trade wars, new technologies and marketplaces, relations between Spain and LATAM, new trends in logistics or corporate social responsibility (CSR) in internationalization.

In addition to the three main sponsors, which are the Spanish multinationals MAPFRE, Banco Santander and Solunion, the event has the support and collaboration of INFO Region of Murcia, the Port Authority of Cartagena, MVEC Events and celebrations, ATA Autonomous Federation, Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena, FUNTRADERS, Grupo Quimera, Aire Traducciones, MoneyCorp, ICEX and Casico.

The registration is aimed at foreign trade professionals interested in learning about the new trends in the sector and international networking.

It can be formalized through the ACOCEX Congress website and three modalities are available between 100 and 350 euros.
