The local leadership of IU-Greens in Cartagena has demanded, through its candidate for Mayor Victoria Rodríguez the assumption of political responsibilities of the Popular Party in this case.
After 12 accused by the judge and other 8 people appointed by the prosecutor of the case, the final responsibility points to what was Ramón Luis Valcárcel, leader of the PP, the maximum regional political responsible at that time and main proponent of the project.

For the formation of the Left it is necessary that the legal services of the CARM inform about the possibility of denunciation and declaration of invalidity of the contracts that link the society of the desalination plant of Escombreras with the companies Tedagua and Hydromanagement.
And also that the General Intervention of the CARM report, black on white, the total and the concepts of the amounts paid to these companies in order to know the total cost already paid for the installation compared to its initial cost.
IU-Green requires the regional government to be effectively involved in the solution of this problem, regardless of the judicial course of the same to cut the bleeding of resources that is assuming for the public coffers of the autonomous community.
