Citizens has denounced today that the City of Cartagena and the Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura have "abandoned their fate" to the neighbors of the Algameca Chica in the middle of a cold drop.
The orange formation has collected, between yesterday and today, the strong complaints of these Cartagena living in this settlement on the banks of the mouth of the Rambla de Benipila.
The neighbors have witnessed that the works have focused on the sections near the Cartagonova stadium and the Carthaginians and Romans camp, and consider it "shameful, reckless and humiliating" that the mouth has been left unattended.
Citizens has sent, as soon as they have had knowledge of the situation, a letter to the Department of Infrastructures and the area of ​​City Hall to request that the cleaning work in this area be carried out urgently.
Cs has explained that the City began a week ago the cleaning of the channels in the main boulevards of the municipality for which the authorization of the CHS was required, "in fact, last September 14 the PSOE Government announced happily, through of a statement, which had already finished the work on the Rambla de Benipila, "says Manuel Padin, who says" that the City has forgotten what is perhaps the most conflictive and dangerous area of ​​this ravine: an estuary surrounded by many neighbors " .
"Neither the City Council nor the CHS have wanted to clear and clean this area even though it is one of the points of the ravine where it is easier for collapses to occur due to the accumulation of rubbish and weeds, and even though we are at a level of yellow alert for strong storms and rain ", denounces Manuel Padín.
"It is a new episode of abandonment and indifference towards the safety of the people who live in this emblematic place and where the local Administration, the CHS and the Ministry of Defense are involved through various competences, all in the hands of the PSOE" .
On the other hand, Citizens has expressed their discomfort over the delay of the CHS in granting the permits for cleaning the channels, "it is incomprehensible that these authorizations arrive in mid-September, does not there exist any previous planning, no prevention plan? , we have not learned anything from the past disasters ?, asks Padín who understands that "the cleaning should be done at the latest, between July and August, and if there is a continuous maintenance that makes it unnecessary, better".

The Association of Neighbors of Los Nietos has criticized this week the state of the ramblas in the area and has criticized the Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura that has not yet carried out maintenance work in channels such as La Carrasquilla.
