Around 200 young cyclists, belonging to 15 cycling schools in the region of Murcia, will make in Cartagena this Sunday, September 16, the 'Exhibition of cycling schools in Murcia', which will show all their skills on two wheels of your bicycles.
The sporting event was presented this Friday, September 14 by the councilor of the Culture, Education and Youth area, David Martínez, and the president of the Cartagena Cycling Club, Diego Sánchez and by the secretary of the same, Francisco José Diaz, organizers of the proof.
The exhibition has the collaboration of the City Council, through the Department of Sports.
The test will involve around 200 young people between 5 and 14 years, belonging to 15 cycling schools in the Region.
The circuit will have a length of 900 meters and will be installed in the Alameda de San Antón in the city.
David Martinez explained that the exhibition is part of the activities celebrated by the city for the European Week of Sustainable Mobility, "something so necessary for the city."
In addition, Martinez as mayor of Education has expressed the importance of promoting sports among children.
The urban circuit of the event will be closed to traffic on the day of the exhibition by means of a special traffic device, with which the local police of Cartagena will regulate traffic at the accesses to the avenue.
The test will start at 10:00 a.m. and will set your goal at the 'El Candil' bar.
The test will consist of making different turns to the closed circuit of 900 meters.
The number of laps will be established according to each of the categories, which by age are: promises, beginners, fry and children, as detailed by the president of the Club Ciclista Cartagena, Diego Sánchez.
The Cartagena Cycling Club has also organized a pre-test gymkhana in which the boys will show their skills on the two wheels of their bicycle.
For his part, the Secretary of the Cartagena Cycling Club, Francisco José Diaz, wanted to thank the help and cooperation of all the sponsors that make possible the good development of the event, especially the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia and to the City of Cartagena.
