Known this morning the news that the Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, will invest this year in the adequacy of the facade of the church of Santa Maria de Gracia de Cartagena, MC has demanded through its councilor responsible of Culture and Heritage, Ricardo Segado, that the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, put at the disposal of the regional government the three hundred thousand euros approved in the Municipal Budget for the settlement of the temple.
In this regard, it should be remembered that as announced by the spokesman of MC Cartagena, José López, last March, the training will ensure that the announced improvements are effectively fulfilled.
"We hope that this promise of CARM does not remain in a simple announcement and the church is suitable for the Holy Week next year," said Segado.
Similarly, the mayor of Cartagena said that "our concern is born of the usual immobility and lack of transparency of the PPSOE.Two months have elapsed since the approval of the Budget and virtually nothing is known of the projects that were included and that amended the disaster socialist".
Therefore, Ricardo Segado has assessed, "we can not be optimistic, we must be vigilant and remedy their forgetfulness, some intentional and others simply produced by their manifest incapacity."
Bishopric and Autonomous Community turn their backs on the Cathedral
The mayor has concluded by reminding the Bishopric and the Autonomous Community of the 'debt' they have with all Cartagena for not acting in the Cathedral.
"Although we remind each Plenary, we must insist on the abandonment of both institutions, some allowing it to fall and others without setting in motion the recovery of the Chapel of the Council."
