Cartagena, Tuesday, September 11.
Citizens demand the creation of a municipal office of the entrepreneur in the City of Cartagena that centralizes, through specialized technicians, the procedures and gives free response and advice to Cartagena entrepreneurs who already have a consolidated project.
"Our City Council must offer a unique space to take forward a business initiative and stop dizzy our entrepreneurs in the Department Council in search of the authorizations and requirements as is currently happening and have let us know," explained the spokesman for Citizens , Manuel Padín, who clarifies that it is about "centralizing information, optimizing interdepartmental communication, the steps to be followed and the administrative paperwork for the various authorizations and to access the aids, the credit lines, and subsidies to support a entrepreneurship that is bled in Cartagena by the bureaucracy ".
Manuel Padín has referred to the office that exists in Elche where only in a year they attend and process the projects of 600 people.
Currently, the advisory service that is carried out through the ADLE, "is manifestly insufficient and is focused on other services, if we do not centralize the processing of a project (which requires many times, many licenses), we will not be a tool to help entrepreneurs who have fulfilled their part, that is, they already have the financing, the project, and the plan to develop it. "
Cabo Tiñoso Ecotourism Park
This initiative comes after the visit of the spokesman of Citizens to the works that a local businessman is doing in Campillo de Adentro, in the old military barracks, to launch a pioneering project in Europe so that these old and abandoned military installations become an attractive ecotourism complex, the Cabo Tiñoso Ecotourism Park.
It is expected that by the end of this year the first phase will be completed with the start-up of seven accommodations, multiple classrooms for creativity and nature, conference rooms, and the establishment of an organic garden, an inn, a restaurant and a wine cellar where to make activities of socio-cultural revitalization combining responsible tourism, environmental education, and traditional gastronomy, among other objectives.
During the meeting, the orange spokesman could learn about the bureaucratic odyssey that this entrepreneur from Cartagena has gone through, "he told us that the role of the City Council for projects of this type in rural areas and natural areas should be to facilitate, through specialized technicians, all the linked procedure, we speak of permits and licenses of works granted by different regional and municipal bodies, this entrepreneur has spent years moving his project from one agency to another, and suffering dozens of referrals for administrative uncoordination.
"The City Council must be an ally and not a hindrance to projects as positive and ambitious as this, which also advance in the recovery of Cartagena's military heritage," says Manuel Padín, who stressed that "this entrepreneur has dedicated 15 years of his life to fulfill the dream that now begins to take shape. "
Sala Juan Carrión and murals
During the visit to the works, Manuel Padín could know that the future Caño Tiñoso Ecotourism Park will include a room with the name of Juan Carrión Gañán, Adoptive Son of Cartagena since 2015, to honor this English teacher who was a pioneer in his methods of Teaching and whose adventures to meet John Lennon during a shoot in Almería inspired the film "Live is easy with closed eyes" by David Trueba.
On the other hand, Manuel Padín congratulated the artistic advisor of the project, Caridad Sancho, for the set of handcrafted murals in which he is working to decorate many of the facades of the future complex, beautiful pieces with Cartagena motifs made with terracotta chamotada and thermoformed glass baked in the oven
