The Subjective Room Nicomedes Gómez, of the Consistorial Palace, will inaugurate next Thursday, September 13, at 8:30 p.m., the exhibition 'Disforme', by the artist Daniel Soledispa Villamar.
The sample can be visited until October 22.
The exhibition is part of the line of promotion of young artists with the contribution of the City of Cartagena, through its Department of Youth.
With 'Disforme' the artist looks for a different way of representing the city.
Deconstruct emblematic buildings of Cartagena such as: the Gran Hotel, the Maestre House, the Town Hall or the Railway Station, looking for the viewer to recognize them and look again at what has probably failed to appreciate due to the custom and familiarity of our surroundings .
However, it distorts them without deforming them in their entirety, so that they do not lose their identity.
It immediately draws attention, the contrast between the recognizable part of the building and the deform, as if it were a crumpled paper.
In this way he seeks, and of course manages to draw attention to the wealth of the heritage that surrounds us.
THE ARTIST
Daniel Soledispa Villamar was born in Guayaquil - Ecuador, in 1989, although he has been in Spain for more than 15 years, where he studied and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Murcia.
Soledispa begins its trajectory with 'Disforme', in this case being its first individual exhibition.
The exhibition can be visited until October 22, from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm;
whereas on Saturdays its visiting hours will be from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm;
and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
On Mondays it will be closed, except for the visits of the cruise ships.
