The councilman of Culture of the city of Cartagena, David Martinez, has declared after the sudden death of the musician Abel Andújar Roch, that "the culture in Cartagena continues in mourning." "It is a very hard time, especially for the group and for the world of music, that in the middle of a concert this sad thing would happen ", lamented Martínez.
The guitarist of the hard rock band from Cartagena, 'El Callejón del Mico', began to suffer seizures shortly after starting a concert on Friday, September 7, while performing at the Apa Rock festival, the La Aparecida de la Cartagena delegation.
The 40-year-old musician suffered a fading and went into cardiorespiratory arrest from which they tried to get him out without success.
The mayor of Culture, after hearing the sad news, got in touch with the world of music to give his family and friends condolences.
"Life takes these difficult steps, but in the memory will always be this person who was dedicated to the world of music, and as a good guitarist who was the whole culture of Cartagena will miss him on stage", Martinez has affirmed.
Abel Andújar Roch was a secondary school teacher at the Manuel Tárraga Escribano IES, in San Pedro del Pinatar.
