Citizens is studying, within the commission for the comprehensive reform of the Rules of the Plenary, different alternatives to prevent the salary retribution received by the mayor of Cartagena can be bent into an analogous artificial figure as has occurred in the City of Cartagena during two years with the position of 'vice-mayor'.

"We want to avoid something as simple as that the Cartagena have to pay two salaries of mayor," said the spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, who clarifies "that is not simple because there is no precedent of what has happened in Cartagena, the organic regulations do not foresee a situation as absurd as that which we have lived here with PSOE and MC ".

One of the options that the orange training is considering is to present a proposal for a plenary agreement that establishes the remuneration regime of the mayor, the councilors, and the heads of the governing bodies of the City of Cartagena, as has been done in Madrid since years.

There, the salaries of the councilors are referenced to the salary of the mayor, decreasing its amount through various percentages, "through this formula, we guarantee that no plenary majority, like the one that PSOE and MC achieved in July 2015, can take forward, two salaries of 65,000 euros for two mayors ".

The orange training will also propose to regulate the possibility of remote telematic assistance due to maternity, paternity, pregnancy or serious illness in the members of the municipal corporation, since it is a personal vote and can not be delegated.

Regarding access to municipal information, Citizens understands that the access procedure should be further detailed, seeking agility and efficiency and proposes, among other things, the regulation of the examination of files and the obtaining of copies by the temporary staff of the Municipal Groups , previous accreditation, as it appears in the organic regulation of Valencia in his article 15. In this sense, the orange training has requested protection and information to the Transparency Council of the Region of Murcia.

As for the Debate on the State of the Municipality, modification of the ROP proposed by Citizens and approved in the Plenary, he hopes that it can be convened soon, although he believes that the dance of councilors in the PSOE municipal government will delay it, "we need that debate in the one that Cs is going to propose a great political pact that establishes the bases for a new and more operative municipal policy ".
