Juan José Molina "Many people have had to go to the emergency room which has led to saturation, with the consequent damages for patients"
Ciudadanos has registered an initiative in the Regional Assembly addressed to the Governing Council, in which it has asked for the reason why the Murcian Health Service has refused to replace vacation leave in the primary care centers of Cartagena.
Juan José Molina, regional deputy of Citizens, has indicated that the decision of the Ministry of Health not to cover vacation leave of primary care centers in Cartagena has led to a collapse in the emergency, both in the Hospital del Rosell by lack of personnel, as in Santa Lucia.
In this sense Molina has pointed out that "many people who had come to these centers, have done to the emergency service, which has led to saturation, with consequent damages for patients."
"We understand that this way of acting is not the most convenient to improve the health of the Region of Murcia since the collapse of emergencies, results in no good health care.
Therefore, it is necessary that the regional government take appropriate measures so that this situation is not repeated and that the quality of attention to users does not deteriorate, "Molina added.
Manuel Padín remembers that the laws are to fulfill them
For his part, the spokesman of Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, has assured that the laws are to fulfill them, and has claimed "the effective and complete development of the Law of Rosell that we took forward in the Assembly and whose development is slower than the expected to make this hospital center work at full capacity, and also have an Intensive Care Unit. "
"The deficiencies in health due to saturation in the health area of Cartagena and its region are evident, and in summer they are revealed in all its magnitude," says Padin who sees in Rosell the key to prevent Cartagena from continuing to have the lists longer wait in the Region, and he recalls with indignation "that Cartagena is in the health area that derives more patients to the private one while maintaining a public hospital with many services closed".
"The endless waiting in Primary Care, a determining link in our health system, directly causes the Emergency Services of Santa Lucía Hospital to collapse;
without giving it more means and consistent and sensible work planning, we are not going to really address the problem that we have at the base;
if the PP continues looking the other way without learning the lesson year after year, and does not correct its sanitary policies in summer, we will end up losing or destroying the model of health efficiency that we have enjoyed until now, "Padín has finished.
