The Autonomous Community allocates to Cartagena more than one million euros to scholarships for books and dining aids

The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, stressed today that "more than 6,000 students of Cartagena will have this course free textbooks," and stressed that the port city "we allocate more than one million euros to scholarships for books and grants of dining room ".

In particular, the free books will benefit 3rd and 4th grade students, open classrooms, Basic Vocational Training and Special Education.

"A course that begins with improvements in all areas," said Lopez Miras during the visit made this morning to the School of Early Childhood and Primary Education 'La Asomada' of Cartagena, a municipality where a total of 36,284 students began classes today in this course that starts with all bilingual schools and institutes.

Cartagena already has ten classrooms open to serve students with special needs and, in addition, as explained by the president, "we lower the ratios more than ever", to be placed in the 21 students per class in Infant and Primary.

"But we are not going to stay here," he added, but "we will continue with the school reinforcement project so that no one is left behind and that is why we extend this course to the students of 4th Secondary Education and 2 ESO to reach the 15,000 beneficiaries in the Region and that we all have the same opportunities. "

This initiative is included in the Educational Success Strategy that will be presented soon and that has an investment of 8 million euros.
