The councilman of Municipal Services, Juan Pedro Torralba, has announced the implementation of an awareness campaign among pet owners to comply with the ordinance on excrement and urine on public roads.
The campaign will focus especially on the urine, since in addition to mess, produce bad smells and corrode the street furniture.
To do this, dispensers will be distributed to neutralize the urine after its deposition, especially avoiding its bad smell.
He also pointed out that from the Department of Public Safety will be a special surveillance in streets and gardens for the owners of animals observe the rules that require them to remove the excrement of their pets and try to urinate along the scuppers of the sewer.
Torralba has made this announcement before the questions of the journalists regarding the measures that the municipal Government will adopt to improve the perception of the citizens on the urban cleaning.
The mayor has pointed out that cleaning is one of the priority issues that the current municipal government is undertaking and has related the multiple actions of shock that have been occurring continuously in the city, neighborhoods and points of the coast.
He also explained the proposal of the mayor to move forward the replacement of the current machinery of the Lhicarsa concessionaire and increase its staff to adequately meet the current demands of the service.
Torralba has also highlighted the work of municipal officials who monitor and inspect the contractors, noting that this morning a solution was found to improve the cleanliness of the Plaza de San Francisco by replacing the machinery, since the one used It was not adequate.
He has also ensured that the cleaning of the Alameda de San Antón is already being undertaken on a regular basis and the damage to the sidewalks that came from years ago is being fixed.
He also announced that the contracting of new banks and paper mills is under contract.
Finally, with respect to Sebastián Feringán, he said that the next change in the direction of the Mancomunidad de los Canales del Taibilla will lead to an agreement with the City Council regarding the settlement of the deficiencies that it presents so that the City Council can receive it.
