The Carnival Federation of Cartagena, in collaboration with the City of Cartagena, has called the contest for the election of the poster that will represent the parties in 2019.
According to the rules, all Spanish and foreign creators who wish to participate in the contest may take part in the contest, being an indispensable condition that the works be original.
Each participant may present up to three works of technique and free theme, must collect the carnival spirit, as well as a notorious element of the City of Cartagena.
The works must be presented without signing and in rigid support for possible exposition.
A single prize of 1,000 euros will be awarded, which may be left vacant if, in the opinion of the jury, the works presented do not meet the necessary quality.
The works will be presented at the headquarters of the Federation (Graduate Schools, C / Gisbert nº 4 - 1ª Planta 30202 Cartagena), telephone 968-123564, fax 968-123059, e-mail carnaval@carnavalcartagena.es, at 09 ' 30 to 13:30 hours.
The deadline for admission of the works will end at 13:30 hours on October 30, 2018.
The posters will be displayed in the place determined by the Carnival Federation, a place that will be made known through the local and regional media.
(If it were not possible to expose all the received works, only the posters selected by the Jury as finalists would be displayed)
The jury will be composed of the mayor of the City of Cartagena or person delegated by him;
the president of the Carnival Federation of Cartagena;
the secretary of the Carnival Federation, with voice but without vote;
and members appointed by the Carnival Federation among professionals from the design and communication sector.
The decision of the jury will be unappealable, being made known through the local and regional news media.
