The pilgrims completed their pilgrimage with the Patron of Cartagena, San Ginés, on the slopes of Monte Miral, where they established the base camp and carried out a series of activities for all the pilgrims and visitors who came to receive the Saint on Saturday, August 25, at the gates of his monastery.
The great feast of the patron saint of the town began with a Mass at the Basilica of the Virgin of Charity, which continued with the departure of the pilgrims to the Parish of San Ginés, in which they made a Floral Offer.
The pilgrimage began after the blessing of the carts that started on the road to La Aparecida.
Once here, the pilgrims tasted wine and sausages from the land, a provision needed to continue with the route to the Hermitage of Roche.
After tasting a giant paella, the pilgrims continued their journey to Los Camachos.
From there they went to the San Ginés Strait, the last stop before completing the marked itinerary and arriving at the camp to enjoy the festive night.
The mayor of the area of ​​Quality of Life and Welfare, Obdulia Gómez and Councilor for Heritage, Carmen Martín, attended the event and accompanied the pilgrims during the development of activities

In addition, Martín, collected a recognition that the pilgrims gave him to thank the support and collaboration that the Corporation has provided for the organization of this holiday.
The Brotherhood of Romeros de San Ginés, organizers of the event, which had the collaboration of the City of Cartagena, scheduled a series of activities that began around 9:00 pm in the base camp, which in this edition was located at Km. 2.8 of the La Manga highway, together with Luna Renovables.
