The fourteenth edition of the Llano del Mint Cross Beal already has the tracks measured and ready for runners to participate, one more year, in this already consecrated race for the incomparable setting of the mining route of this deputation that will be held tomorrow, Saturday 18th. August.
Previously, this afternoon will be held the Mining Trekking test, which is consolidated as a solidarity and sports event to meet its sixth year.
The presentation of both events took place on August 3, by the mayor of Sports, Obdulia Gómez;
from the president of the Club Deportiva Minera, Bienvenido Gallego, and the technical coordinator of the event, Juan Ernesto Peña.
The XIV edition of the Cross Mining, which is part of the initiative 'Sports in the Arena' of the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena, will be held on Saturday from 19:00 hours.
Along its 8.5 kilometers - with a difference of 225 meters - the athletes will travel the mining routes of the deputation of Llano del Beal and its surrounding areas.
In addition, in this edition, the Grand Prize Spanish Association of Transplanted will fall on the top three classified in the male and female categories.
In this event, which is designed to involve runners of all ages, it is expected that there will be a participation of more than 1,000 people, which will be coordinated by a hundred volunteers.
Those who prefer a walking tour outside the category of competition have the opportunity to march this afternoon through the Llano del Beal, "enjoying these interesting places of miners offered by the deputation Cartagena," as pointed out by the mayor of Sports, Obdulia Gómez, on the hiking trail that will take place, starting at 6:30 p.m.
In addition, Gómez has highlighted that in the environment and for the reason of the Victoria Cave "they have filled out panels and posters indicating all the animals that were in this area in the Pleistocene", a motif that is also reflected in the poster of the test sporty.
The solidary nature of the test is evident in the central trophies, but this event also allocates part of its collection to the Phone of Hope and promotes the knowledge of a rare disease such as Angelman Syndrome.
As explained by the technical coordinator of the sporting event, Juan Ernesto Peña, one of the central axes of the sporting event is the children, "that's why we bet for a few inscriptions reduced for this sector that have remained at two euros", in previous races Up to seven exits have been established to accommodate all minor runners.
