- The Orange spokesman, Manuel Padín, defends that "to avoid the closure of emblematic and successful businesses due to lack of generational relief, on the one hand we must take advantage of the proliferation of entrepreneurs who currently seek to take charge of a business project of that profile, and on the other hand, professionally advise the family relay, which is often complicated and arduous "
- "Many of the businesses that disappear every year due to the lack of business succession are consolidated businesses that have a portfolio of loyal customers and a relationship forged for years with suppliers and distributors.It is a pity that all that work and effort is lost ", regrets Manuel Padín
Cs Cartagena will urge the local government to put in place a series of measures to facilitate the generational change of self-employed and small businesses and thus avoid the disappearance of emblematic shops in Cartagena.
In Spain 50,000 businesses disappear every year due to lack of business succession;
therefore, Cs Cartagena will propose in the Municipal Council of Commerce that will be held on August 16 a series of measures aimed at facilitating this relief "and that it is the new generations who, following in the footsteps of the previous owners, keep alive these emblematic hardware stores, greengrocers and haberdasheries that have successfully survived over the years, "explained Manuel Padín.
City councils such as Barcelona, Cordoba, Ponferrada or Las Palmas, among others, are already working in this regard.
The spokesman of Cs Cartagena defends that "to avoid the closing of mythical and successful businesses due to lack of generational relief, we must take advantage of the proliferation of entrepreneurs who currently seek to take charge of a project of this profile and advise the family relay, avoiding the classics problems due to lack of planning, which leads to the deterioration of the strategy and the management of the company ".
From Cs understand that the City can and should solve this problem "on the one hand enabling entrepreneurs access to these businesses already consolidated," says Manuel Padin, "and that's why we urge the government team to create a public record in the that they can register those businesses that do not have succession and that want to look for a relief in property and / or in the management ".
"On the other hand, creating a professional and individualized consulting service that supports small businesses in the municipality to carry out effective planning during family succession, with the help of organizations such as the Agency for Local Development and Employment of Cartagena", proposes Manuel Padín.
Cs will also urge to elaborate a Business Succession Plan and Generational Relay of the Autonomous Worker so that those who are close to retirement can give the witness to the new entrepreneurs.
"This plan would contemplate measures to alleviate bureaucratic obstacles and tax burdens in the transmission of the business to facilitate its transfer," says the orange spokesman.
"Many of the trades that are lost are consolidated businesses that have a portfolio of loyal customers and a relationship forged for years with suppliers and distributors, with the benefits that this entails, it is a pity that all this work and effort is lost", regrets Manuel Padín.
"We will put at the disposal of the trade that seeks succession, and of the self-employed looking for business, all the possible facilities so that the relief is carried out successfully and thus avoid that the small Cartagena trade continues to disappear", summarizes Manuel Padín.
