The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón;
and the Minister of Employment and Universities, Javier Celdrán, met on Wednesday, August 8, to discuss current issues such as the relocation of the Franco Warehouse and the Transportation City to the Los Camachos Polygon.
Regarding this issue, both the mayor and the counselor explained that although the procedures make it difficult to execute the project, it is very defined;
At the same time they have anticipated that at the beginning of next year they will be able to begin work in the north zone of the Los Camachos Polygon.
He also explained that this action will be the embryo of the start-up of the ZAL (Logistics Activities Zone) and will serve as the starting point of the great industrial and logistics transformation project in Cartagena.
THE STATE OF THE BEACHES
The state of the beaches is another of the most relevant issues that have been discussed during the meeting, as indicated by the first mayor, who has advanced that City Council and Autonomous Community should work together to provide a solution to the historic claim on the state of the Mar Menor.
INVESTMENTS IN THE MUNICIPAL TERM OF CARTAGENA AND REGION
Ana Belén Castejón has pointed out that when businessmen are interested in municipal land to make future investments, the counselor moves it to the consistory with the aim of advancing the projects and that this translates into more prosperity.
For his part, Javier Celdrán explained that Cartagena has a lot to offer in terms of business and a very attractive location, so it has been advanced that there are hotel, cultural and real estate projects that have been interested in the area of ​​Cartagena and its region, which although they are in an embryonic state, they will favor the generation of employment in the future.
