The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, received Wednesday on a formal visit to the captain Armando Paolo Simi, commander of the Italian Navy destroyer 'Luigi Durand de la Penne', who will be docked at the Cruise Ship Pier until Friday August 10, with more than a hundred second-year cadets of the Naval Academy of Livorno on board.
Accompanied by the defense attaché of the Italian embassy in Madrid, the captain of ship Domenico Guglielmi, and on the part of the tribulation, Simi has visited the Consistorial Palace and have exchanged souvenir metopes, as part of the program of his stay in Cartagena, which includes a tour of the main monuments that are part of the archaeological heritage of the city.
During its stopover in the port, the destroyer can be visited on Thursday, August 9, from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Friday 10, from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. .
