The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, received this Tuesday, August 8, the recent winner of the I Fast Track Championship of Spain Sub16, Aaron Alonso.
The young Cartagena met this Tuesday 15 years, a fact that commented with the council in their meeting qualifying the coincidence of his anniversary and his visit to the City as "a good celebration."
On the other hand, Castejón has welcomed the Consistory and congratulated him for his recent successes.
In addition, the council has taken advantage of the meeting to be interested in the situation of chess in Cartagena, as well as the successes of his career.
The chess player has come to the reception accompanied by his father and his coaches, being present also representatives of the Department of Sports.
The boy studies at the Ben Arabí Institute and belongs to the Lapuerta Chess Club.
Between the successes harvested by the young person stand out also the third places in the Championship of Spain Sub 14 of slow and in the Championship by Equipment of Autonomous Communities Sub 14.
At the end of the meeting, Castejón has given the young man a gift as a souvenir of his visit to the Consistory.
