Improvised Oral Poetry was the protagonist throughout the weekend in the municipality of Cartagena.

In the fifteenth edition of this festival, the invited artists came from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Panama, Canary Islands, Malaga and La Unión Coffee Table.

The Town Hall Square hosted the opening day, which took place on Thursday, August 2, at a meeting in which a tribute was paid to the figure of Juan Manuel Ronda, who was named honorary partner of the Asociación Trovera José María Marín .

As the president of the Trovera association José María Marín, Juan José García, said, "Ronda was one of the main advisors and coordinators who managed to get the festival to celebrate its first edition, fifteen years ago, and we thought it was necessary to recognize this type "

In addition, in each of the nights in which the Trovalia Festival was held, all the delegations of the invited countries performed.

In the Mar de Cristal, Isla Plana and the Plaza del Ayuntamiento there were evenings in which poetry was the main protagonist, and that together with the music, it managed to start the closed ovation of an audience that filled the capacity in each of the representations.

After this XV edition, Trovalia is consolidated as one of the most important improvised Oral Poetry Festivals on the national and international scene.

As García has pointed out, "we have managed to find a place in the agenda of all those passionate about this type of show, but also among the general public".

So much so, that there are already several families from different parts of the Spanish geography who each year reserve their period of summer rest to make it coincide with the program of this Festival and enjoy the beaches of the municipality.

Trovalia already puts its mind in the next edition, and always works with the aim of spreading among the citizens the value of the culture of the trovos and favor a point of union between different ways of expressing the Spanish language from improvised poetry.
