This teaching center is the result of the process of rationalization of structures being carried out by the Navy and can be considered as the continuation of the General Central Academy of Marine Infantry, which was created in the last third of the 19th century, and whose first Colonel-Director was precisely the General from whom he takes his name.
The main objective of the school is to ensure that the women and men who form the main capital of our Marine Corps are trained in all those values that have always distinguished the members of the Corps and acquire the necessary knowledge so that they can exercise with total effectiveness those tasks that are assigned to them.
